Rapiscan Systems is a wholly-owned subsidiary of OSI Systems. It manufactures baggage and cargo inspection systems, baggage screening systems and products in the fields of people screening, radiation detection and trace detection.
The company's scanning machines and full body scanners are installed in the Qalandiya, Bethlehem and Irtah (Sha'ar Efrayim) checkpoints in the West Bank, and in entrance to the Western Wall compound in East Jerusalem. The company provided these scanners through its sole representative in Israel: G4S Security Technologies Israel (Hashmira). In March 2016, the Israeli Ministry of Public Security's Tender Committee approved a one-year contract with G4S Israel for supplying magnometric portals in 10 West Bank District Coordination Liaisons (DCL): Nablus, Jenin, Judea and Samaria, Abu Dis, Ramallah, Jericho, Bethlehem, Qalqiliyah, Tulkarem and Hebron. In April 2017, the Tenders Committee of the Civil Administration approved a one-year maintenance contract for 9 magentometers installed in Civil Administration sites for the amount of 40,000 NIS.
The company's scanners are also installed in Israeli airports, in the Knesset, in the Israeli president's residence, in the Israeli Prison Service facilities and in Israeli courts.
