L3Harris components and systems are integrated into multiple weapon systems used by the Israeli military, including bombs, fighter jets, and warships used by the Israeli Air Force and Navy, which were used in attacks on Gaza during the genocide. The company works in collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Defense and works closely with major Israeli weapons manufacturers. In addition, the company provides might vision and laser devices to the Israel Police.

Gaza Genocide

Night Vision Monoculars

In November 2023, an internal Pentagon document revealed details of weapons and ammunition Israel has requested from the United States since the October 2023 invasion of Gaza.

According to the document, Israel requested 5,000 PVS-14 night vision devices, manufactured by L3Harris and Elbit Systems, of which 3,500 were delivered by mid-November 2023.

L3Harris' Binocular Night Vision Device, also known by the military name AN/PVS-31A, is a compact, lightweight, high-performance white phosphor dual-tube goggle.

Ammunition Components

L3Harris manufactures components for the Boeing Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) guidance kit and Boeing GBU-39 Focused Lethality Munition (FLM) bomb. Israel has repeatedly used the GBU-39 and JDAM-guided bombs against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Gaza during the genocide, including attacks on schools and medical facilities.

On 25 May 2025, at least three GBU-39 bombs were used in an Israeli attack on the Fahmi al-Jarjawi School in Gaza City, which was used as a shelter, killing 36 people.

On July 27, 2024, GBU-39 and JDAM bombs targeted the Khalida School Complex, killing at least 30 people, including 15 children.

In September 2024, the Gaza Civil Defense headquarters in al-Daraj in Gaza City was targeted with a GBU-39 bomb.

In October 2023, Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs) were used by the Israeli military in two airstrikes on Gaza in which 43 people were killed, including 19 children. The attacks occurred in an area to which the Israeli military had ordered residents of northern Gaza to move.

Foreign Military Sale

In February 2025, the U.S. State Department approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Israel of munitions, Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) Guidance Kits, GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs, fuses, and related equipment and support services for an estimated cost of USD 6.75 billion, with L3Harris' fully owned subsidiary, L3Harris Fuzing and Ordnance Systems, as one of the principal contractors.

Israeli Navy Warships

L3Harris manufactured the integrated platform management system for the Israeli Navy’s Sa’ar 5 and Sa’ar 6 warships.

The Sa’ar 6 warships took part in attacks on Gaza during the genocide and have been used for military assaults and enforcing the illegal naval blockade of Gaza.

The Israeli Navy's Sa’ar 6 warships, manufactured by ThyssenKrupp, have participated in attacks and assassinations in Gaza since the beginning of the genocide. During the genocide in Gaza, the Sa'ar 6 fleet operated in Gaza and carried out heavy artillery fire from the ships' cannons towards areas in Gaza according to the demand and need of the ground forces. In October 2023, the Israeli military carried out the first ever operational attack by Sa’ar 6 ships, when two ships carried out the attacks from the surface of the sea towards Gaza, in cooperation with the air forces and the ground forces.

L3Harris has also provided its Model 980 ALOFTS towed sonar system for the Israeli Navy's Sa’ar 4.5 Corvette vessels and unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs). In December 2024, Israel procured five "Reshef" class corvette vessels for the Israeli Navy, which were designed to potentially include L3Harris' Model 980 ALOFTS system.

F-35 Fighter Jets

L3Harris provides the F-35 fighter jets with critical avionics and electronics infrastructure, including cockpit communications, data processing, sophisticated avionics and electronic warfare technology. Israeli Air Force F-35 jets have been used in attacks on Gaza since October 2023.

Israeli Military

Blue Sky Warden

In October 2025, L3Harris Technologies and the Israeli state-owned weapons manufacturer Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for strategic cooperation on Israel’s light attack aircraft program.

Under the MoU, the companies will jointly develop an Israeli configuration of L3Harris' Sky Warden (also known as Skyraider II) light attack aircraft platform tailored to the requirements of the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Israeli Air Force.

The new aircraft, to be called Blue Sky Warden, will combine L3Harris’ high-endurance Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft with an open-architecture mission computer developed by IAI and specialized Israeli software and capabilities.

The project is led by a joint team established by the companies, in collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Defense and Air Force.

The attack aircraft will operate as part of a new squadron subordinate to the Israeli military's border protection system. This has come amid the Israeli Air Force's plans to establish several new squadrons that would operate continuous aerial presence light aircraft, including in the Gaza, Syria and Lebanon area, under the Israeli military’s various regional divisions.

The new version of the aircraft will be adapted for aerial intelligence, observation, and light strike missions, combining anti-armor weapons, advanced sensors, and an air endurance of hours, designed for unique operational needs, capable of integrating into the Israeli military's operational network. The aircraft, with advanced capabilities for aerial intelligence gathering and tactical missions, can be equipped with anti-tank missiles and FiveWay laser-guided bombs, a variety of sensors, a laser designator, and more, and can stay in the air for about 6 hours.

PEQ-15 Rifle Laser

In January 2025, the Israeli military was reportedly conducting tests to effectively attach the PEQ-15 laser to the military’s "Negev" light machine gun platform.  The PEQ-15 has been used in the field, including by the military’s Counter Terror Unit, LOTAR Unit. According to a soldier from the unit, the military has purchased thousands of new PEQ-15s for use with rifles.

In August 2022, it was reported that the Israeli military was examining the purchase of L3Harris' laser designators for small arms (AN/PEQ-15).

L3Harris' AN/PEQ-15 is an Advanced Target Pointer Illuminator Aiming Laser (ATPIAL), a small, lightweight aiming system with integrated infrared and visible aiming lasers.

Submarine Periscopes

L3Harris' subsidiary, L3Harris KEO (formerly Kollmorgen), a manufacturer of periscopes and other optical equipment for military applications, supplied the periscopes for the first Dolphin-class submarines delivered to Israel by ThyssenKrupp.

After the submarines' periscopes did not meet the operational requirements of the Israeli Navy, L3 was selected by the Israeli Ministry of Defense to upgrade the periscopes at an estimated cost of approximately USD 20 million, which the company received from U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for the upgrade project.

Services to the Israel Police

L3 provides the Israeli Police with various devices, including special devices manufactured using advanced technologies, night vision and laser devices, and others.

Between 2000 and at least 2018, L3Harris’ L3 Insight Technology has been the sole supplier of Night Vision Binoculars and spare parts for the Israel Police.

In 2020, the Israel Police contracted L3 as the sole supplier for the purchase of the company's holographic projection sights and spare parts, as part of increasing the police's existing stock, from February 2020 until January 2021.

In 2019, the Israel Police announced its intention to contract the exclusive L3 representative for maintenance services for L3 night vision devices and laser devices from April 2019 to June 2022.

In 2018, the Israel Police contracted with L3 Technology Insight to purchase a laser designator as the sole supplier from April 2018 until May 2019.

Collaboration With Israeli Weapon Manufacturers

L3Harris works closely with IAI and Elta. The companies collaborate on the supply of fire-source detection systems for anti-aircraft guns and the development of airborne early warning and control systems, as well as the marketing of L3Harris' Bombardier mission aircraft in partnership with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) ELTA Systems.
