The project allows Israeli government ministries and security agencies to use the companies' servers and services in customized, secure local cloud data centers within Israeli borders that are under Israeli law, instead of cloud services provided by Google data centers abroad.

In August 2025, amid widespread famine in Gaza following a long Israeli blockade on the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, YouTube published a promoted video funded by the Israeli Foreign Ministry claiming that there is food in Gaza and there is no hunger crisis, as part of a sponsored campaign by the Israeli government on YouTube, which is owned by Google. In June 2025, Google was contracted by Israel Government Advertising Agency, with exemption from tender, as part of a contract with digital media providers for "international awareness campaigns" for a total of NIS 150 million. The contract included services from June 2025 to the end of December 2025 from Google's marketing platform, Google DV (Display & Video) 360, for NIS 90 million, and Google's online video sharing platform, YouTube, for NIS 60 million.
