In June 2022, the Israeli Ministry of Defense Department of Production and Procurement signed a NIS 100 million order from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for several hundred off-road vehicles with gasoline engines produced by General Motors. The vehicles are intended for special units in the Israeli military.
The company’s Chevrolet Grumman vans have been used as baggage scanning vehicles in several Israeli military checkpoints in the occupied West Bank.
The mobile Chevrolet scanning vans were documented in checkpoints in Al-Hamra in 2012, in Ma’ale Efraim in 2010 and in Huwara in 2009 in the occupied West Bank. In 2004, Chevrolet scanning vans were also used as baggage scanners for the belongings of family members visiting Palestinian political prisoners detained in the Ktziot prison.

In 2018, the Israeli military’s robotics lab converted a Chevrolet Colorado vehicle into a self-driving car. Chevrolet Savana ambulance vehicles were in use by the Israeli military until 2018, when they were replaced with Mercedes models.
UMI, General Motors’ distributer in the Israeli market, operates Chevrolet Israel’s authorized service center located in the Mishor Adumim settlement Industrial Zone in the occupied West Bank to provide service for General Motors brands. The service center also includes a department for handling military vehicles.
Chevrolet Savana and Chevrolet Malibu vehicles have also been in use by Israel Prison Service. Chevrolet Tahoe police vehicles have been in use by the Israeli police.
