The company imports, markets and sells mechanical engineering equipment, vehicles, engines and equipment for industry and the defense establishment.
Zoko is the exclusive Israeli importer and distributor of the brands Caterpillar, International, Perkins, Ingersoll Rand, Rocol, Donaldson and Shell.
Zoko Enterprises provides heavy machinery, trucks, equipment and services to the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMOD) and the Israeli military, with whom they work closely.
The company supplies the Israeli military with equipment that is used in extensive demolitions of Palestinian homes and infrastructure in the occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza, as well as in military operations and construction of military infrastructure in occupied Palestinian territory.
Zoko imports, markets and sells tools and spare parts from international brands such as Sandvik, Navistar, Sullair, Caterpillar and the International truck brand, which are in use by the Israeli military.
Maintenance and Training for the Israeli Military
The company is responsible for a large part of the Israeli military’s combat vehicles' routine maintenance and provides professional training for the Israeli military.
As part of its collaboration with the military, the company's employees are recruited when needed as part of a special unit that the company established with the Israeli military many years ago. The company's employees are stationed as part of their reserve service and are mobilized as a maintenance force for the General Staff. Since October 2023, during the ongoing Genocide in Gaza, the company's employees entered Gaza along with military units. Additionally, the company is working with the military to expand the unit and establish an additional special unit in the northern border with Lebanon.
In December 2023, amid the Israeli attack on Gaza, Zoko personnel were recruited to the Israeli military as a reserve unit where they serve as reinforcements for the army's Caterpillar D9 bulldozers' maintenance personnel. In 2009, Zoko Enterprises signed an agreement with the Israeli military that allows the recruitment of company personnel during combat to maintain Caterpillar D9 bulldozers in battle and grants the company's maintenance team the status of reservist soldiers, so that they can repair the machines during combat if necessary. As part of the agreement, when the Israeli military declares a state of emergency, the company becomes a military unit whose employees are recruited as a maintenance force and placed in the framework of their reserve service. During the Israeli attacks on Gaza in 2014, Company employees were deployed in the battlefront as part of their maintenance work.
Zoko operates a training center that provides teaching, training and cooperation services to the Israeli Air Force, Combat Engineering Corps and Technology, Maintenance Corps and the Israeli Navy. The training is carried out by senior instructors from the Caterpillar Company.
Caterpillar
Zoko Enterprises’ fully owned subsidiary, Tractors and Equipment (I.T.E) Ltd., is the exclusive importer and supplier of Caterpillar heavy machinery for the Israeli military.
Zoko is also responsible for some of the retrofitting of Caterpillar heavy machinery vehicles for the military's needs, and the company personnel are responsible for the maintenance of the Caterpillar combat vehicles in use by the military. These modifications included the installation of gunner positions and a bulletproof driver cabin to allow for battle use.
Zoko has been involved in retrofitting and supplying specially designed manned and unmanned military D9 Bulldozers, and the development of excavators for military use, such as the remote-controlled mini loader built on a Caterpillar MTL 257B (also known as MiniCat) chassis, which has been converted into a fully remote-controlled combat engineering tool.
Caterpillar machinery is widely used by Israeli military forces against Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territory. Caterpillar machinery is used in military operations, house demolitions, construction of military infrastructure and has been used as crowd control weapon against Palestinian demonstrators. Caterpillar equipment has been used in the construction of settlements and settlement infrastructure as well as the construction of checkpoints, the Separation Wall in the occupied West Bank and the Israeli barrier surrounding the besieged Gaza Strip. Retrofitted Caterpillar D9 bulldozers are extensively used by the Israeli military in its military invasions and arrest actions in the occupied West Bank. During the Genocide, D9 bulldozers were extensively used by the Israeli military in Gaza, including leading the military ground invasion of Gaza in October 2023, in the construction of military roads and infrastructure inside the occupied Gaza Strip, in the mass destruction of Palestinian roads, buildings, property, and infrastructure, and in attacks on civilians.
Caterpillar D9 bulldozers were extensively used by the Israeli military in previous offensives on Gaza in 2021, 2014, 2009, and 2008; in the Israeli military invasion of Palestinian cities in the occupied West Bank in 2024 and in 2002 (the largest military operation carried out in the occupied West Bank since 1967); and in the Israeli invasions of Lebanon in 2006 and 2024. Caterpillar machinery has also been used by the Israeli military in the occupied Syrian Golan in 2024.
In November 2023, amid the Israeli ground invasion of Gaza, the IMOD placed an order for the purchase of additional bulldozers from the Caterpillar company through Zoko Enterprises. The bulldozers are to be fitted for the military and some will be adapted for autonomous or semi-autonomous operation.
In July 2025, a shipment of dozens of Caterpillar D9 bulldozers was delivered to Israel from the United States. The bulldozers, destined for the Israeli military Ground Forces, were transferred to a military logistics center for the installation of armor.
In February 2025, the U.S Secretary of State approved a Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Israel of Caterpillar D9 bulldozers and related equipment for an estimated cost of USD 295 million. The sale included D9R and D9T Caterpillar bulldozers, spare and repair parts, technical and logistics support services, storage, and related logistics, with deliveries expected to begin in 2027.

Navistar
Zoko Enterprises is also the exclusive representative of the American company, Navistar International. For decades, Navistar trucks have been in use by the Israeli military and include unit trucks, transport trucks, driving training trucks, towing trucks, track sweepers, rescue trucks, and others. Zoko Enterprises has a global maintenance agreement with the Israeli military to provide the military needs during routine and emergency situations.
In 2019, Zoko was contracted by the IMOD to supply the Israeli military with Navistar International LT tractor heads for transporting armored personnel carriers, bulldozers, and various cargo. The contract, which also included the maintenance of the tools and spare parts, was estimated at USD 50 million.
In 2017, Zoko supplied the IMOD with approximately 100 Navistar i5900 International tank carriers for USD 28 million. This was the first time that the Israeli military had purchased US-made tow trucks as part of American foreign military sales. The tow trucks were customized to the specific requirements and needs of the Israeli military, primarily for transporting the heavy Merkava Mark 4 tanks. Zoko Enterprises retrofitted the pull trucks for the use of the Israeli military and oversees their maintenance.
Tatra Trucks
Zoko Enterprises holds the Israeli franchise for the exclusive marketing of the Czech company Tatra Trucks. As part of the franchise, Zoko has a service agreement with the Ministry of Defense to provide maintenance services for hundreds of trucks in the military’s use. Tatra trucks are used as military tactical trucks and have been used in the Israeli military’s Off-road Driving School in the main training and training base of the Logistics Corps.
