Two Occupation Profiteers Collaborate in a Joint Sale
Soda Stream and Eden Springs, two Israeli companies that operate production facilities on occupied land, collaborate in a joint sale for the Israeli and British markets.
Soda Stream is a manufacturer of home carbonating devices and flavorings for soft drinks. Its main production site is located in the settlement industrial zone of Mishor Adumim in the occupied West Bank. Eden Springs is a distributor of mineral water, home and office water devices and espresso machines. The company extracts mineral water from a spring in the Golan Heights on occupied Syrian land and established a factory near the spring, in the city of Katzerin.
In the last few months, Eden springs is offering to its clients in Israel and in the UK a free Soda Stream kit, whenever they purchase or rent a bottled water cooler or a plumbed-in chiller.
This new marketing strategy continues the efforts of both companies to establish a clean, healthy, environmental friendly and ethical image, while they continue to operate in occupied territories, exploiting Syrian natural resources and Palestinian land and labor.
