Settlement Construction

The company carries out construction works in settlements in the occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Syrian Golan.

In February 2022, the company was contracted for a construction project in the settlement of Katzrin in the occupied Syrian Golan. The project includes the construction of 1,642 housing units as part of a residential neighborhood under Plan 1032 for the planning and construction of preferred housing complexes, as part of increasing the supply of apartments by the Ministry of Construction and Housing of Israel.

The company has a project for the planned construction of 900 housing units as part of 'Evacuation-Building' project in Hebron Road on the planned Jerusalem Light Rail (JLR) Blue Line rail axis route in East Jerusalem. The project is part of a development plan that will include residential, hotel and commercial towers of 30 stories or higher, and a total of thousands of housing units alongside central commercial and public tourism areas.

Additionally, the company carried out the establishment of a residential project in Pisgat Ze'ev settlement neighborhood consisting of six buildings, each building has 5 floors and two 4-room apartments per floor; and a residential project in the Ramat Eshkol settlement neighborhood consisting of two buildings. The project is currently in the occupancy stage.

Transportation Projects

The company carries out transportation projects for the benefit of facilitation of settler movement on the two sides of the Green Line.

The company is carrying out a Level Separation project on Road 60/437 in the settlement of Geva Binyamin (Adam) in the occupied West Bank. The project includes a road level separation between the main road that connects Beit El settlement and Jerusalem, and the secondary road to Geva Binyamin. The project also includes construction works on Road 60 including the construction of circular intersection, connecting ramps, and a bridge. In addition, the project included infrastructure works, retaining walls, deep foundations, paving works, development and gardening. Highway 60, also known as the Tunnel Road, is an Israeli highway that crosses the West Bank from south to north. The road provides access from West Bank settlements to Jerusalem while bypassing surrounding Palestinian villages and neighborhoods. The road serves vehicles with Israeli license plates only. Route 437 is a major Israeli road in the Mateh Binyamin settlement Regional Council in the occupied West Bank, connecting the settlement of Geva Binyamin and the Mishor Adumim settlement. The road is the main connection between Binyamin settlements in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

The company also carried out the construction of an interchange at the entrance to the Ramat Shlomo settlement neighborhood in the occupied East Jerusalem. The company carried out level separation with a bridge, slope filling, underground passage renewal, and infrastructure and landscape development. Additionally, additional bridge constructions were carried out in preparation for the connection of the Interchange to a future road which will facilitate traffic between Ramat Shlomo and the Western part of Jerusalem.

In 2022, the company won a tender by Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation for conducting infrastructure, paving and development work in Road 17 and in Road 117 in the neighborhood of Umm Tuba in occupied East Jerusalem.

Netivey Edomit Quarry

Y.D Barzani holds 50% in the Netivey Edomit Quarry, located in the occupied West Bank.

Netivey Edomit operates a quarry located near the settlement of Mishor Adumim Industrial Zone in the occupied West Bank. The quarry produces and supplies a variety of raw materials for the production of concrete mixes, quarry materials for infrastructure, aggregates, washed aggregates and includes an asphalt plant, which supplies approved mixes for road paving. An asphalt plant with a production capacity of over 500 tons per day operates in the quarry. Netivey Edomit is jointly owned by Y.D. Barzani and Ashtrom Group.

The Jerusalem Light Rail

In November 2022, the company won a tender to carry out preparation works for the Blue Line route in Section 21, in Southern Hebron Road near Givat HaMatos planned settlement neighborhood.

The company is the executing company for the Har Homa ‘Park & Drive’ parking lot project near Har Homa settlement neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem. The parking lot will be built as part of the JLR Blue Line project. The parking will have 600 parking spaces and is intended to serve the residents of Har Homa and those coming from Gush Etzion settlements in the occupied West Bank. The parking lot is expected to become operational in 2026.

In 2021, the company won a tender by Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation for conducting infrastructure, construction, paving and development work in the Rosemary Interchange next to Gilo settlement neighborhood as part of the JLR Blue Line development. The company carried out a Grade separation project and preparation infrastructure works for the JLR Green Line in the Gilo settlement neighborhood. The works included the construction of two levels, a 70-meter-long tunnel, retaining walls, infrastructure, paving works, landscape development and landscaping were carried out. The lower level is a direct connection to Highway 60 (tunnel road).

In 2022, the company won a tender from Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation for the construction of a Depot for the JLR Blue Line in Malha neighborhood in the western part of the Jerusalem.

In June 2019, the company won a tender issued by Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation to carry out infrastructure, construction, paving and development work in Section 16 of the JLR Green Line in the Gilo settlement neighborhood.

Previously, between 2007 and 2014, the company carried out development and infrastructure work in the settlements of Geva Binyamin, Har Adar, Beit Aryeh, Beit El, Har Gilo, Kalia and Efrat in the West Bank; and Pisgat Ze’ev settlement neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem.
