Bar Amana Buildings Construction & Development Co. Ltd. is a construction and development company owned by the settlement movement Amana (Amana from the settlement movement of the Central Cooperative Association Gush Emunim). Amana is considered the main settlement arm of the settlers, working to establish illegal settlements and outposts in the occupied Palestinian territory.

The company is based in the settlement neighborhood of Ma'alot Dafna in occupied East Jerusalem.

Construction on Occupied Land

The company develops and markets residential projects in settlements throughout the occupied West Bank, including the settlements of Karnei Shomron, Adam-Geva Binyamin, Efrat, Elazar, Alon Shvut, Ibei HaNahal, Adora, Beit Hagai, Beit Yatir, Bruchin, Barkan, Dolev, Hemdat, Tal Menashe, Talmon, Tene Omarim, Yitzhar, Kfar Tapuach,, Carmel, Ma'ale Levona, Neveh Tzuf (Halamish), Kiryat Arba, Shim’a, Nofim, Susya, Ma'on, Ma'ale Hever, Ateret, Einav, Eli, Alei Zahav, Ofra, Otniel, Pedu'el, Almog, Kiryat Netafim, Karnei Shonron, Reihan, Shani-Livne, Shaked and Tel Tsiyon.

The company has carried out projects for the construction of new neighborhoods in settlements in the occupied West Bank including the Karmei Shilo neighborhood in the settlement of Shilo, the Nofei Mamre neighborhood in the settlement of Kiryat Arba, and the Nofei Shim’a neighborhood in the settlement of Shim’a.

Among the company’s projects are:

A construction project in the settlement of Karnei Shomron for the development of 164 housing units on 22,100 square meters of land according to Plan no. 117/8/13 in Ginot Shomron neighborhood and the expansion of its entrance road. The project was accompanied by Clal Insurance, which holds as collateral all the rights in the property and or the project to be built on the land.

A construction project in the settlement of Efrat for the development of 106 housing units and a commercial center including office space on 9,830 square meters of land. The project was accompanied by Clal Insurance, which holds as collateral the company's rights in the project, including all current and\or future sums generated from the project.

A construction project in the settlement of Kiryat Arba for construction on 4,903 square meters of land according to plan 1\2\522. The project was accompanied by Clal Insurance, which holds as collateral the company's rights in the project, including all current and\or future sums generated from the project.

A construction project in the settlement of Adam-Geva Binyamin for the development of  45 housing units on about 10,864 square meters of land belonging to the Palestinian village of Jaba' in the occupied West Bank according to Plan no. 240/2/14/3/1. The project was accompanied by Discount Bank, which holds as collateral all the rights in the property and the project.

Through its subsidiary Al-Watan, a sister company of Bar Amana, the Amana movement used forged documents to prove ownership of privately owned Palestinian lands on which outposts were established, as in the case of the Migron settler outpost, which was established entirely on private Palestinian lands.

In 2013, the company carried out the construction of 36 housing units in Katzrin
settlement in the occupied Syrian Golan.

International Sanctions on the Company

Between June and November 2024, the governments of Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States imposed sanctions on the Amana organization and Binyanei Bar Amana company for their complicity in the dispossession of Palestinian land and the establishment of dozens of illegal settler outposts and settler farms in the occupied West Bank.
