Jerusalem Light Rail

In August 2023, Galnor won the tender for carrying out works for the construction of the Rosemary parking lot in Gilo settlement neighborhood, as part of the Jerusalem Light Rail (JLR) project. The Rosemary parking lot in Gilo settlement neighborhood, adjacent to the Green and Blue JLR lines station, will contain about 1,000 parking spaces and will serve the residents of Gilo and those coming from Gush Etzion settlements. It is expected to be opened in 2027.

The Jerusalem Light Rail (JLR) network is a large-scale Israeli transport infrastructure project connecting large settlement blocks in occupied East Jerusalem to the center of the city and its western side, creating territorial continuity and easing settler movement on both sides of the Green Line.

In 2020, Galnor won a tender from Moriah to carry out infrastructure works, construction, retaining walls, paving and development for the extension of the JLR route on the Hebrew University campus in Mount Scopus. In 2019, the Galnor won a tender from Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation to carry out the execution of infrastructure, bridging, paving and development in Gilo as part of the works for the JLR project.

Qalandiya Checkpoint

In April 2021, Galnor won a tender from Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation to carry out infrastructure works, construction, bridging, retaining walls, paving and development in the Qalandiya Checkpoint subsidence project for grade separation and underpass in the Qalandiya checkpoint. The project includes the construction of an underground passage road for vehicles, designed to pass under the checkpoint creating a new access road bypassing Jerusalem into the Green Line significantly shortening the commuting time between settlements in the north of the occupied West Bank and Jordan Valley, to central Israel. The cost of the project was estimated at USD 120 million. The underpass connects the settlement of Geva Binyamin to Atarot settlement Industrial Zone.

Construction on Occupied Land

In March 2023, Galnor won a tender from Israel Land Authority for the purchase of lease rights for the construction of 100 housing units in a complex in the Ramot settlements neighborhood in East Jerusalem.

In November 2022, Galnor won a tender from Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation to carry out works for the construction of the Ben Hinnom Bridge. The bridge, inaugurated in July 2023, is a 200-meter long suspension bridge that connects Mount Zion to the compound of the Elad settler association located in the Palestinian neighbrhood of Abu Tor. The project was carried out by the Moriah Company at a cost of approximately NIS 20 million.

In 2019, the company won a tender issued by Moriah for development and maintenance work for the construction of a parking lot in Mt Scopus in East Jerusalem.

In 2017, the company won a tender issued by Moriah for paving, systems and an inspection structure on Route 437 north of Jerusalem in the occupied West Bank. The road is part of the Eastern Ring Road, itself part of a larger Israeli transport project encircling West Jerusalem and parts of East Jerusalem, which cuts off and isolates East Jerusalem from the rest of the West Bank while improving connectivity between the northern and southern settlement blocs. Some 300 dunams were expropriated from the Palestinian village Hizma for the construction of Route 437.

In 2014, the company won a tender issued by Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation to carry out a grade separation project on Route 60 (Tunnel Road) and Route 50 (Begin Highway) in Gilo settlement neighborhood.

Previously, the company carried out road and infrastructure development work in the settlement of Beitar Illit in the occupied West Bank and the settlement neighborhoods of Ramat Shlomo and Gilo in occupied East Jerusalem.
