Maavarim Civil Engineering is a private security company which provides civil engineering and homeland security services. The company specializes in mines and battle area clearance, ammunition disposal and provides detection, guard and police dogs.
Maavarim’s dogs are used for explosives detection in the Karni border crossing to Gaza and in various checkpoints in the occupied Palestinian territory. The company also provides consultancy and dog training for the Israel Prison Service.
Maavarim has cleared an Anti-Tank Jordanian minefield in the settlement of Har Adar, in order to allow the expansion of the settlement. The company is also involved in the clearing of Anti-Tank minefields in the settlement of Had-Ness, occupied Syrian Golan.
The company’s employees are former senior officers in the Israeli Defense Forces and Police elite units, some of them gained their experience and expertise in the Israeli military Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit.
The company is a recognized contractor and defense exporter for the Israeli Ministry of Defense and a certified supplier by the United Nations.
