During a June 2018 Who Profits field tour in the old city of Jerusalem, Videotec cameras were documented as part of the surveillance system in the occupied area. The specific camera in use is the AVBPHK2A000. This 12kg model is made of thick aluminum, with front and rear bottom constructed from 30mm aluminum, has 18mm of bullet-proof glass and consumes up to 20w of electricity.
The company’s official distributer in Israel is Mal-Tech Technological Solutions, a private Israeli company owned by Moshe Amzel. Mal-Tech provides solutions to the Israeli government such as cameras and network devices. It provides equipment to security bodies such as the Israeli army, the Israeli Police and the Israeli Ministry of Defense. The company also provides solutions for the protecting of Israeli military bases.
