Who Profits has recently learned that Caterpillar’s contracts with the Israeli Ministry of Defense for the supply of its heavy machinery have not been renewed in the last three years since August 2013.
In August 2016, Who Profits sent an information request to the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMOD) querying whether the MOD or the Israeli Army had any direct contracts with Caterpillar or indirectly with Zoko enterprises, its local distributor, for the import of Caterpillar’s heavy machinery.
On the 15th of August, Who Profits received the response of the MOD, which was negative to both requests, stating that no contracts were signed with Caterpillar and/or Zoko enterprises. In this respect, a follow up research was conducted and Who Profits has yet to obtain any evidence to the contrary.
Who Profits will continue to follow up on this issue in the coming months.
