The Toyota Hilux model is being used by the Israeli army as the base for the David Vehicles that serve the Israeli army and Israeli Ministry of defense. The David is available in two configurations, based on the platform selected. The Toyota Land Cruiser 79 and the Land Rover Defender are two of the 4X4 medium commercial platforms.

Toyota Hilux Vehicles are used by the Israeli military and border police to protect illegal settlements and military bases along the West Bank, to suppress Palestinian demonstrators and to carry out house demolitions.

The company’s Israeli distributor Union Motor (יוניון מןטןר) is privately owned by George Horesh with annual revenue of over $66138 million in 2017.
