A private Israeli company that produces electro-optical fire control systems for small arms based on Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision and Machine Learning technologies.
Smart Shooter fire control systems are designed for military use, homeland security & law enforcement, and Special Forces.
In September 2022, the company’s Remote-controlled Crowd Dispersal System was documented installed over the Israeli military Bab Al-Zawiya checkpoint (checkpoint 56) in Shuhada Street in the city of Hebron, occupied West Bank. The system, which includes the capacity to fire stun grenades, tear gas and sponge-tipped bullets, was installed in the center of a heavily populated area.
Smart Shooter’s Remote Controlled Weapon systems are able to follow and lock in on targets using image processing based on artificial intelligence and can be controlled remotely.
In 2019, the company was contracted by the Israeli Ministry of Defense to provide 2,000 “smart” fire control systems to the Israeli military infantry forces for tens of millions NIS. The system, named “Dagger”, was developed based on Smart Shooter’s SMASH system in cooperation with the Israeli military. The electro-optic system follows the target and an algorithm-based processor selects the moment to fire and can be fitted on the barrel of any rifle.
We have received your letter today.
On behalf of Smart shooter, I ask you to add the following comment:
SMARTSHOOTER’s Fire Control Systems are based on advanced technology to improve target hit probability. The systems are not automatic but operated by a human user, and the user is the one deciding what is the relevant target and whether to shoot. The significant improvement in target hit probability enables the user to avoid hitting innocent bystanders, uninvolved ones, and anyone who doesn’t pose a danger. It also enables the operator to use only minimal and controlled firepower, with maximum precision.
We operate only in accordance with the instructions and regulations of the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
