A supplier of heavy lift services by renting and operating cranes and access equipment. Company cranes were used for the construction of settlements, military infrastructure and the Separation Wall in the occupied West Bank.

The company supplied cranes and machinery for the construction and maintenance of the Separation Wall. Company’s Manitou aerial work platforms and Liebherr crane, were documented in Qalandiya checkpoint and during maintenance works on the Wall near A-Ram. A company crane was also documented during the installation of a military watchtower near the Palestinian town of Beit Sahour.

Additionally, company equipment was used for settlement expansion. In 2008, a company crane was observed in an overnight erection of settlement outposts on privately owned Palestinian land in Modi’in Illit settlement. In 2011, a company crane was documented during the construction of an industrial structure in Ariel West settlement industrial zone. By mid-2013, JLG access platforms were also spotted in the construction site of another industrial building in Barkan I.Z., an Israeli industrial zone in the West Bank.

Avi Cranes also supplied a CC2800 Terex crane for the assembling of a TBM machine during the tunneling of the new Tel-Aviv Jerusalem fast train line (A1). The new train’s route crosses the Green Line into the occupied Palestinian territory in two areas and passes on the lands of the Palestinian villages Beit Iksa and Beit Surik. (For further information, see Who Profits full report on the A1 train).
