A Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation. Its diversified business includes consumer and professional electronics, gaming, entertainment and financial services.

In 2018, Who Profits documented the use of Sony CCTV cameras in the Old City of Jerusalem, deployed as part of Israel’s surveillance system in the occupied area. At least six Sony cameras were installed on two towers in Bab Al Amoud (Damascus Gate).

In 2022, the Israeli Ministry of Defense published a tender for the purchase of a Sony fx6 full frame camera. In 2021, the ministry published two tenders for the purchase of Sony Alpha camera, photo lens 600, and microphone; in 2020 a tender for the purchase of Sony cameras P1000 and A7III; and in 2019 four tenders for the purchase of Sony cameras, lenses, screen and driver.
