The tender involves a total installed capacity of 75 megawatts.
Additionally, in January 2022, Agri-Light Energy Systems, a private company specializing in agro-voltaic solutions in which the company holds a 7.5% stake, was selected to participate in a pilot program launched by the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development to examine the feasibility of the dual use of agricultural land for electricity generation from solar energy. As part of the project, Agri-Light will collaborate with the Shamir Institute, located in the occupied Syrian Golan, to construct agro-voltaic facilities in five sites located in three settlements in the Syrian Golan, Mevo Hama, Nov and Ani’am.
