A private Israeli security company.
The company won an Israeli Ministry of Defense tender to provide security to settlements in the occupied West Bank, for the amount of 1.5 million NIS for a one month project carried out by 115 security personnel formerly in combat units in the Israeli military.
The company has provided security services to the local settlement council of Efrat in the occupied West Bank since 2009. Services include perimeter security, guarding educational facilities, and manning the gates in and out of the settlement, including a separate ‘workers gate’ for Palestinians employed in the settlement. The Efrat settlement protocol for Palestinian workers specifies constant armed supervision by security personnel. Security guards undergo a mandatory briefing with the settlement’s security division every six months.
The company provides full security to the settlements of Efrat, Har Gilo and Elazar in the West Bank. It has also provided security services to the settlements of Kiryat Arba and Ma’ale Adumim.
The company has provided security services to approximately 20 Israeli settlements in the ‘seam zone’ area, the area annexed to Israel by the Separation Wall, after the Israeli military privatized security provision to settlements.
The company’s directors and consultants are former high ranking officers in the Israeli military and security forces.
Nof Yam Security is part of the Natoon Group, an integrator of services in management, maintenance and operation of properties. It provides services to the Bahad City, the Israeli military’s training base in the Naqab (Negev) region, and to Policity, Israel’s national police training academy.
